School timing:

Regarding School timings:

For Office hours to enquire about admissions and other inputs:

09.00 am – 11.30 am from Monday to Friday

For meeting the Principal:

09.00 am to 11.00 am from Monday to Friday with prior appointment.

For meeting the teachers:

12.30pm to 01.00pm only on Friday with prior appointment.

For Primary, Secondary & Sr. Section given below is the timing the students need to follow:

  • 06.55am to 12:25 pm. (On regular days)
  • 06.55am to 12.30pm (1st , 3rd & 5th Saturday only for Secondary & Sr. Secondary)
  • Students are expected to be in school 5 minutes early.
  • Students arriving thereafter will be treated as late. In case the child is late he/she will be sent home.
  • Parents are requested to pick up and drop their wards on time to avoid inconvenience.
  • Half days will not be allowed during regular school hours.

Changes as per revised CBSE guidelines

  • As per CBSE guidelines every child will be evaluated throughout the year in different ways. Periodic Internal assessment [20%] and Summative assessment [80%] together will qualify the result of the child. It is important to note that every student has to obtain 33% marks in each subject, in both assessments.
  • Periodic Internal assessment accounts for 20 marks are a sum total of pen paper test, notebook submission, and other subject specific activity, including map work, math lab practical, science lab practical, speaking and listening skills. Submitting these tasks is very important failing which there will be a direct impact on the result.
  • As per the revised norms 100 % of the syllabus covered in every subject will be assessed in semester form. To increase the confidence in the students and to start preparing for class X board exam when they join in the secondary section, the following uniform system of assessment is implemented. In the Final Summative Exam the syllabus covered will be
    1. 10% of term I and entire syllabus of term II for class 6
    2. 20% of term I and entire syllabus of term II for class 7
    3. 30% of term I and entire syllabus of term II for class 8
    4. Entire syllabus for class 9.
  • Non-scholastic marks are of great importance. These include computer marks, performing arts marks, yoga marks, and sports marks. These also involve various values, skills and attitude of the child.
  • Assessment for standards 6 – 10 will be as per CBSE rules and regulations. Per term result will be as per CBSE format.

Discipline

  • We hope that the students display their best behavior as it is expected from any student who is part of the school. Misbehavior in any form, hooting, banging the desks, getting involved in friendly fights, calling names, bullying, etc. is strictly prohibited. The effects of such behavior are far reaching and not supported by the school.
  • Bringing of mobile to school is strictly not allowed.
  • Parents are requested to bring Parent I-Card along with them whenever they come to school, failing which entry to school may be disallowed.
  • Students will come to school in proper uniform on all days including Open House, failing which entry to school may be disallowed. Students will wear their I card to school every day. No sporty watches and jewellery is allowed. In case if a student wants to wear a sweater, during winter, it should be black only. No jumpers, no hooded jackets, are allowed.
  • We request parents to attend the Open House as scheduled, however in case if they are not able to attend then kindly submit a duly signed letter of authority to the bearer to collect the report card on their behalf.
  • Students will have to adhere to the school timing, including days of exam. It is observed that students come late even during exams. Hence it is hereby stressed that any student coming after 6.55 am for more than thrice in a month will be sent home.
  • The students are expected to come to school in an ironed uniform and properly kept hair. Boys must have short hair cut so that it does not interfere in studies. Hair must be oiled. In case if a student has a medical issue kindly give a letter to the school, duly endorsed by the doctor. Application of mahendi is strictly not allowed.
  • Once in the school every student is expected to speak in English language only, failing which the school will take appropriate action.
  • Books must be brought to school as per teachers’ instructions.
  • Students should be attentive in school and attend school regularly. There must be proper study strategy in place, to facilitate proper learning.
  • Students will make their submissions on time and as per instructions given by the respective teachers.
  • School calendar is of utmost importance. Every student will carry his calendar daily to school. The student has to enter in the calendar the period wise activity done in the class. This will help parents to know what is being done in the class, follow up with the students becomes easy. Parents will ensure that the student keeps his calendar up to date. Students need your support, kindly go through the calendar daily.

Instructions on scholastic areas

  • Languages
    1. English Students are expected to read newspaper, listen to news, and thereby improve their exposure to new words and phrases. While attempting unseen passages the students are expected to write answers in their own words. The students must use new words learnt by them. There are many books available in the library which may be used to improve grammar and vocabulary. The supplementary reader prescribed by the school must be prepared thoroughly. Students must inculcate a proper reading habit. Creative writing must be pursued as a study habit. Students must carry a dictionary as per instructions.
    2. French – Students must focus on grammar.
    3. Sanskrit – Students must focus on grammar.
    4. Hindi – Students must inculcate a proper reading habit. Creative writing must be pursued as a study habit. Students must speak in proper Hindi.
  • Science – Students must carry necessary equipment and material for the tasks, as instructed. Attendance during practical is compulsory.
  • Maths – Basic concepts taught till the previous year should be learnt thoroughly. Students should know multiplication and square tables.
  • SocialStudies – The students must read text book thoroughly. Questions may be asked from the content. Map work marking must be as per instructions.

Instructions related to examination:

  • Please try to remain present during all exams. There is no provision for a half day. No student will be allowed to appear exam and go home.
  • Students have a tendency to crowd at the washrooms and waste precious time during exam. This tendency will move the students away from their focus. This will be monitored and students will be disallowed from using the washroom during exams. Parents are requested to guide the students accordingly.
  • It is observed that students come to school unprepared for exams. This shows a casual behavior of the student. Parents are requested to assist the students beforehand in keeping his bag ready with writing pad, stationary required. Borrowing of pens, pencils, staplers in not allowed.
  • In case if there is a possibility of a planned leave, kindly inform the school in advance.
  • In case if there is a need to take a sick leave, kindly inform the school in the morning personally.
  • Retest of students will be as per CBSE guidelines.

Instructions related to transport services:

  • Bus services are extended out of courtesy. It is mandatory to be vigilant about the behavior of the students while using this service.
  • Throughout the year incidents of indiscipline of students has been followed up with the parents. These include incidents like boarding a moving bus, Keeping their belongings unattended in the bus and loitering about, Using bad language in the bus, Changing their place and jumping in moving bus, Fighting with fellow students in the bus, Using abusive and foul language with cleaner of the bus, Littering in the bus, Tearing the cover of the bus sheets and removing the sponge from there and littering the bus, Dropping garbage from the window, on the road, while moving bus, Banging the bus and making noise, Splashing water on each other in the bus etc
  • The dangers involved while the bus is in motion is not new to the parents. To avoid any untoward incident, parents are humbly requested to look into this matter.
  • Every bus is equipped with a cleaner, his job however is only to guide the bus driver and ensure safe boarding and alighting of the bus by the students.
  • Retest of students will be as per CBSE guidelines.

Annual Scholastic Plan:

  • Attached hereby is a tentative ‘Year Plan’ of the activities planned by the teachers for every subject. Students are expected to be present on days when activities are undertaken; if any student is absent he will miss out on important instructions.
